His parents turned grief into a movement.
After Ant died by suicide in 2024, his parents built a movement for neurodivergent teens, and now a comedy night to open a place where struggling teens can walk in.
If you or someone you love is struggling, call or text 988, the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline (US). It’s free and confidential, 24/7.
The story
Ant felt the world in every colour, and his laugh was contagious. But the world kept asking him to be ‘normal’, and in spring 2024 he died by suicide. When the grief was too heavy for his parents, Neal and Samara Tricarico, to carry alone, their community showed up and carried it with them. That showed them what saves us: connection. So they founded the Endurant Movement, a nonprofit building safe spaces and real tools for autistic and neurodivergent teens and their families. Next comes Ant’s Place, a free place where a young person who is struggling can walk in before it becomes an emergency.

Connection carried Ant’s parents through their grief, and it is what the Endurant Movement is built on.
Ant’s Place will be a free, walk-in, non-clinical space for struggling teens, especially autistic and neurodivergent teens. Its first door is planned for 1 February 2027.
The Laugh and Death Tour, with Tiffany Haddish, Byron Bowers, Jay Davis and Jessimae Peluso, is on Sunday 15 November 2026 at The Comedy Store La Jolla. Money raised around the night goes to Ant’s Place.
